Accomplishments Under my Leadership as Mayor, Continued…

  • Secured funding for our Advanced Water Purification Pilot Project in conjunction with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).  This is the first water reuse project in our state

  • Improved public safety for Spring Hill by prioritizing funding for the fire and police departments, which will also keep homeowners’ insurance costs under control via our ISO rating. Additionally, our Fire Department was awarded a $3.1 million FEMA Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant which allowed Spring Hill to hire 13 new firefighters

  • Improved infrastructure:

  • Road conditions with the 2-phase expansion of Buckner Lane from a two-lane to a five-lane road

  • Planning to increase Wastewater treatment plant’s capacity

  • Rehabilitation of sewer systems

  • Replacement of water lines

  • Road surface conditions through asphalt projects

  • Improved the quality of life of our citizens:

  • Wholly support the plans to build a new state of the art library

  • Updated recreation and park facilities, including a skate park and playgrounds

  • Added a new Fire Hall

  • Safety equipment by replacing Rescue 62 and adding Engine 64

  • Contributed to the well-being of our seniors by enhancements and programming to the Senior Center

  • Moved toward a 706.46-acre high-quality employment hub for both Spring Hill and the surrounding region, which includes a mix of light industrial and commercial businesses, and a General Aviation airport

  • Established a Citizens’ Election Task Force to provide integrity, trust, guidance, and recommendations for our elections

  • Secured TDOT’s long-term road improvement commitment to improve Interstate 65 and Highway 31

Spring Hill Citizens Come First...

I’m committed to ensuring that Spring Hill's growth is balanced with a focus on livability and infrastructure.

As Mayor, I have and will continue to:

  • Agree to RESPONSIBLE growth that directly benefits our citizens and oppose (especially high-density) residential development that does not benefit our citizens

One of the main reasons I ran for mayor and am running for re-election is to change the trajectory of the unbridled residential growth. When I became Mayor in 2021, over 10,000 homes, townhomes, and apartments had already been approved by previous administrations. Currently, thousands of these structures have yet to be built. Unfortunately, we cannot stop the construction of these buildings.

  • Seek citizen input to make informed decisions

  • Prioritize public safety by properly equipping and funding the police and fire departments

  • Secure non-property tax revenue by pursuing state and federal grants

  • Be an ambassador for our great City, representing us locally and beyond our borders

Rezoning Property Voting Records...

My BOMA voting record shows my dedication to only approving responsible growth.

During my nearly 4 years as Mayor, only 3 ordinances passed that rezoned property to increase residential building rights.

  • My only YES vote (since I have been your Mayor) was for an ordinance favorable to be beneficial development that will increase revenue from visitors to our city, support our local businesses, and help pay for needed infrastructure improvements

  • I voted NO on the other 2 ordinances to increase residential building rights since they were not in the best interest of the citizens.  Unfortunately, these ordinances were passed by the majority of the BOMA voting YES

  • Alderman Matt Fitterer and Alderman John Canepari are both running for mayor.  They both voted YES on all 3 ordinances to increase residential building rights during my administration

During Alderman Fitterer's 10 years as an Alderman, 21 ordinances passed that rezoned property to include increased residential building rights. He voted Yes on 20 of the ordinances and was absent for 1 vote, including the 3 mentioned above.

During Alderman Canepari's 6 years as an Alderman, 8 ordinances passed that rezoned property to include increased residential building rights. He voted Yes on 4 of the ordinances, including the 3 mentioned above.

Your Vote is IMPORTANT!

I’m asking for your vote so I can continue to champion the needs and wants of our community.

I have no hidden agendas or conflicts of interest as your Mayor and, if re-elected, will continue putting your interests first.

I am not accepting donations for my 2025 re-election campaign.
